2022 - Present
Vice President of Content
At Toonsutra my job is to collect, license, curate, and create webtoons and comics content. The mandate was to build a platform that had the best comics from around the world to bring to the Indian audience.
I've helped curate content that has made Toonsutra the #1 Comics App on the Google Play Store for India with over 1 million downloads.
I also helped acquire and license content with our licensee partners such as Kenaz, Webtoon Factory, Storysoop, Oni Press, Archie Comics, Boom Studios, Valiant Entertainment, Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, Top Cow, Harlequin Manga, Pops, and more.
I also supervise translation and localization of the above comics from English into Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu with the help of our talented editors and translation staff.
I built the Toonsutra Studios team which has created incredibly popular webtoons such as the adaptation of Madhuri Tamse's One Hellish Passion, M.V. Kasi's The Devil's Kiss, and the comic adaptation of the megahit film Kantara - A Legend with Hombale Films. These webtoons I oversaw creation of have garnered over 500,000 reads from readers across India.
2013 - 2022
Senior Creative Writer and Producer
As one of the first hires at Graphic India my job evolved over time from Comics Editor to Animation Producer, Writer and even Animation Director.
Graphic India started as India's main hub for comic creation and we created over 50 issues of comics and Trade Paperbacks including several comics for the annual Free Comic Book Day event in the US as well as creating comics for the United Nations Global Goals initiative.
While we were releasing these comics in the US I was responsible for overseeing editing, pre-production, production, and print production of the entire process of creating a comic book and did the same for the release of these comics in partnership with Westland Publishing.
I also oversaw as producer the conversion of comics into motion comics in partnership with YouTube such as Grant Morrison's 18 Days as well as Silver Scorpion in collaboration with MTV. Similarly we converted a number of Graphic India's library into motion comics, a process which I oversaw and contributed to as well.
As Graphic India evolved towards animation my career too evolved from being a Comics Editor to being a Comics Writer, Animation Writer, Animation Producer, and Animation Director on projects such as Stan Lee's Chakra The Invincible on Cartoon Network, Baahubali: The Lost Legends on Prime Video, and The Legend of Hanuman on JioHotstar.
Under the mentorship of Graphic India President and CEO, Sharad Devarajan, I grew both personally and professionally to collaborate with the legendary filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli on Baahubali: The Lost Legends on which I was a Series Producer, Story Writer, and Screenplay Writer on over 57 episodes across 5 seasons.
On The Legend of Hanuman I was involved in the conception of the series as well as writing the story and several episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 of the series; after which Sharad asked me to help lead the webtoon industry in India by joining Toonsutra as it's Vice President of Content.

I started my career as at Gotham Comics in 2007 where I was hired as an Assistant Editor. It was a dream job to work in comics and I quickly learned a lot about comic production and the hard work and art behind making comic books.
In 2008 I was hired by Virgin Comics headed by Sharad Devarajan, Suresh Seetharaman, and Gotham Chopra and worked as an Assistant Editor and writer on comics created by legendary icons such as Shekhar Kapur, Priyanka Chopra, and more.
In 2009 Virgin Comics transitioned into Liquid Comics, LLC. and I retained my position as Assistant Editor as well as Production Manager where I worked on comics created by such luminaries in both the Entertainment and Comics industries such as Grant Morrison, Barry Sonnenfeld, Andy Breckman (co-creator of TV's Monk), Comics Writer Marc Guggenheim, Film Director Marcus Nispel, and more.
